Hello everyone!

The summer months are quickly approaching and this issue will let you know what is available during July & August.

The virtual psychoeducational sessions will not be available during the summer months. The sessions will resume in September 2021 and there will be new topics. All topics are offered on repeat in case you missed one or you would like to attend again. The posters for the fall sessions will be sent out in early August via this newsletter and Facebook.

The virtual family caregiver support groups will continue throughout the summer. The posters are listed below with the dates. Choose a date that works well for you to attend.

I will be on vacation during the summer. The dates I am away are included in this issue. I have also provided contact information for support services available.

Family-Based Peer Support

This service is available for family members who have been directly impacted by a loved one’s mental health challenge, illness and/or substance use.

Peer support is created through a trusting, equal and empowering recovery-oriented relationship between two individuals who share a similar experience. You will be connected with a trained Peer Supporter who can relate from a human to human perspective as can be related from a place of lived experience.

To seek support, please connect directly with peersupport@cmhastarttalking.ca
