Hello everyone!
Summer solstice is just around the corner, we are already half way through 2018! This issue will let you know that I am taking time off for my summer vacation and where family caregivers can go for support during the summer.
There is one event taking place on June 22, CMHA's annual Golf Tournament. You can still register a foursome to play that day. All information is found below.
I will be offering family education programs in the Fall in Wasaga Beach and Barrie. In the August issue I will send out the poster to register for the Wasaga Beach program. Barrie poster will follow in the September issue.
The Barrie Family Support Group will be changing to a new location starting in September. Updates are found below, for further information on this support group, contact the facilitator Elizabeth Marshall.
If you would like ongoing support here are places you can contact. To have 24/7 support, Crisis Services at 705-728-5044 will get you to speak with a live mental health professional. You may also see them in-person by calling the same number and ask for a mobile service.
To inquire about services at Canadian Mental Health Association of Simcoe County, you may call and speak with the On-Duty Worker Monday-Friday (9am-4pm) at 705-726-5033, anyone can also walk-in, without an appointment, and speak with the On-Duty Worker at 88 Mulcaster St., second floor.
Family members interested in speaking with an addiction counselor may contact the On-Duty Worker for this service at 705-726-5033.
911 is always available for immediate, emergency service.
