This new program is offered in Orillia, Wasaga Beach and Barrie. Please see posters below for dates, times and location for each community.

This program was created based on the documentary "The Journey Home: Family Experiences in Mental Health" with consent from the Director/Editor. The documentary is shown in short segments each week based on the theme of the session. This interactive program is combination of video, educational slides and group discussion. The family caregivers in this documentary are Ontarians who share their personal experiences as family members. This documentary focuses on mental health.

This program in Barrie will be 4 weeks in length, due to scheduling challenges for the facilitator. All the materials and documentary clips will be covered in this program, topics will be combined with others.

Mental Health First Aid

Course is offered on Monday's on September 9, 16, 23 30 from 5:00pm - 8:45pm in the DCF Cameron Room at 29 Sperling Drive in Barrie ON.

Walk-In Service at CMHA Simcoe County

Also called On-Duty, this is a “Walk-In service“, both in-person and by phone, for individuals in help of finding community resources or submitting referrals to access CMHA services and programs. It is also for individuals who require emotional support and guidance at the moment of call. Knowledge and education is provided on how to access internal programs in CMHA and various other duties performed at request.
