JULY ISSUE

Hi everyone! 

I hope you have all been enjoying the summer so far! I wanted to connect with everyone that I am working to schedule the fall season of educational programs for family caregivers.

I will be circulating the posters with all the details about the programs in August.

Anyone who is interested in attending but never had and not certain what to expect, I welcome all enquiries. I have been facilitating these programs along with my co-facilitators since 2011. for more information, please visit online here

As I mentioned in the June issue, my summer schedule is different, I take my vacation during this time. I will be off from July 25 - August 5. Returning August 8th working to get the fall educational program season up and running for early September start dates. 

If you would like ongoing support here are places you can contact. To have 24/7 support, Crisis Services at 705-728-5044 will get you to speak with a live mental health professional. You may also see them in-person by calling the same number and ask for a mobile service.

To inquire about services at Canadian Mental Health Association of Simcoe County, you may call and speak with the On-Duty Worker Monday-Friday (9am-4pm) at 705-726-5033, anyone can also walk-in, without an appointment, and speak with the On-Duty Worker at 88 Mulcaster St., second floor.

Family members interested in speaking with an addiction counselor may contact the On-Duty Worker for this service at 705-726-5033.

911 is always available for immediate, emergency service.

BARRIE FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP

Canadian Mental Health Association of Simcoe County offers a support group designed for family members and friends of persons with a mental illness and/or substance issue. Barrie Family Support Group Date: Second Tuesday of every month (except July & August) Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm New Location: 128 Anne St., S., Barrie (Boardroom at Canadian Mental Health Association of Simcoe County). The Simcoe County and Muskoka Addiction & Mental Health Crisis Line is for youth and adults. Crisis Services offers individualized support to assist the person in the resolution of the emotional and personal crisis.
