JUNE ISSUE
Hi everyone!
Summer is finally here!!! :)
This is a large issue that will let you know about what groups are running during the summer and which groups are not. The family educational programs will resume again in September. The August issue of the #FamilyMatters E-Notice will have the flyers with the dates so look out for that issue to know when to register. Please feel free to share this issue with others you think might be interested in the family programs. The Barrie Family Support Group does not meet in the summer (July & August) the group will resume in September, please feel free to connect with Elizabeth Marshall for ongoing support at 705-726-5033 ext. 498.
There are youth groups and events taking place this summer, please scroll below for the entire summer schedule. Who to contact is listed on the flyers. Also, there is a family summit happening in July, please see the flyer for details.
I have also included information for Grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. You might not have been aware of the group or had the information to know when the support groups and social night's are. The flyers are in this issue and as always a phone number to contact for more information.
My summer schedule is different, I take my vacation during this time, programs will pick back up in the fall. If you would like ongoing support here are places you can contact. To have 24/7 support, Crisis Services at 705-728-5044 will get you to speak with a live mental health professional, you may also see them in-person by calling the same number and ask for a mobile service. To inquire about services at Canadian Mental Health Association of Simcoe County, you may call and speak with the On-Duty Worker Monday-Friday (9am-4pm) at 705-726-5033, anyone can also walk-in, without an appointment, and speak with the On-Duty Worker at 88 Mulcaster St., second floor. Family members interested in speaking with an addiction counselor may contact the On-Duty Worker for this service. 911 is always available for immediate, emergency service.
Have a safe, fun, and wonderful summer everyone!! Enjoy!!! :)
