Family Engagement Sessions

The Barrie session was a wonderful evening with lots of discussion and sharing of experience and ideas regarding how the waiting period impacts family members and ideas about how to better support families during this time.

If you can't attend, please share your thoughts in this survey: click here for survey

Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care along with three other mental health hospitals (CAMH, Ontario Shores, The Royal) are partnered in a project that is building the foundation for tracking wait times (access) to in- and out-patient mental health services. This project includes collecting data from family members regarding your experience when your relative is discharged from hospital and waiting for their first outpatient visit. You can help by attending one of these sessions and providing your feedback about your experience when your relative was discharged from hospital and waiting for their first outpatient visit. To register or for more information, please see the poster below to contact the persons listed.

Family Mental Health Initiative will be co-facilitating at each of these sessions listed on the poster; Orillia, Midland, Collingwood, and  Bracebridge.

To register, please email Alison Townsend professionalpractice@waypointcentre.ca
